Message from Minister Interior It gives me immense pleasure to learn that the Federal Investigation Agency has launched its website for public information.

The Federal Investigation Agency is the only federal law enforcement agency created under an Act of Parliament to undertake investigation of specialized and organized crimes in Pakistan.  Counter-terrorism, Anti-Human Smuggling & Trafficking, Cyber Crime, Immigration Services are some of the important areas of FIA's professional mandate.

In addition to above, FIA maintains a database of incoming and outgoing passengers through  Personal Identification Secure Comparison and Evaluation System (PISCES) and would soon have state-of-the-art nation-wide database to store and analyze Finger Prints under Automated Finger Prints Identification System (AFIS).  FIA also intends to setup an important project called National Criminal Database (NCDB), which is under consideration for early installation.

The Government of Pakistan and FIA are committed to engage in a multi-pronged strategy to discourage criminals and make Pakistan a safer place for the citizens.

         I wish  FIA to succeed in its endeavors to make our country safe and become a truly people friendly agency.
