Message from Director General FIA
With renewed
enthusiasm we intend to make FIA a “Centre of Excellence” for
criminal investigations in the country. Towards this end various
measures have been introduced, one of which is the launch of FIA
website. Public is encouraged to contact us for their complaints
as well as any suggestions to improve our efficiency.
The website intends to provide frequently required information
by the public, but most importantly, it would serve as an
independent medium to public for lodging their genuine
complaints and valuable suggestions. Public can also provide
information on criminals directly to the senior management of
the Agency without even coming in direct contact with any FIA
office or official.
FIA is a focal civil law enforcement agency, at
the federal level, for investigating violations of laws relating
to countering terrorism, preventing illegal immigration/human
smuggling and facilitating millions of passengers at our
national airports and land routes. Besides, it is also
responsible for investigating cases of great public interest
like spurious drugs etc. Professional and efficient discharge of
these obligations, however, may not be possible without public
cooperation, therefore you are encouraged to make suggestions
and bring forward complaints to streamline the system.
With utmost sincerity we are presenting ourselves
before the Pakistani nation. We expect your cooperation. We will
ensure that the website is monitored by the senior management
and public complaints are addressed and information provided is
acted upon immediately.
As much as possible, we would attempt to respond
to e.mail senders, however, it is advised that incorrect or
incomplete information is not sent to us. The senders of
complaints against individuals with personal malice would be
prosecuted, as it would seriously hamper our efforts to promote
justice and transparency. Conversely, it would promote
corruption and increase harassment by the agency officials.
This system is set in motion in public interest.
Let’s join hands to promote justice and efficiency with a view
to making our country safe from criminal elements and corrupt
officials. |
