AUTOMATED FINGER PRINT IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM (A.F.I.S)
FIA
has collected 4,48,985 finger prints from Law enforcement
agencies all over the country on newly designed fingerprint
cards which has been fed in the main server installed at FIA
Hqrs Islamabad. At present fifty two Remote Terminals are
functioning which are scanning the Finger Prints of accused
persons, building up the record within the computers and transmitting
it to the main server.
