NATIONAL CENTRAL BUREAU PAKISTAN OF INTERPOL

 

      National Central Bureau (NCB) Pakistan is the local arm of International Criminal Police Organization (ICPO) also known as INTERPOL.

Having gotten INTERPOL membership in 1952, NCB-Pakistan was established in 1957. In line with the INTERPOL General Secretariat (Lyon, France) rules and procedures, the FIA represents INTERPOL through NCB- Pakistan based at the FIA headquarters in Islamabad. The Director General-FIA is ex-officio Head of NCB-Pakistan, who is supported by Director INTERPOL as Deputy Head of NCB Pakistan.

NCB Pakistan is networked with 187 member countries of INTERPOL with the help of its web-based I/24-7 global communication system.

NCB-Pakistan also assists and coordinates with the federal ministries, local law-enforcement-agencies and foreign missions/ police liaison offices stationed in Pakistan in matters of international police cooperation.

NCB-Pakistan also manages inputs for issuance of INTERPOL Notices and Diffusions and provision of inputs for extradition related issues.
