FIA Academy
INTRODUCTION
FIA Training Academy was established in 1976. It is headed by a senior Police
Officer of SSP rank designated as COMMANDANT, Academy. It was
established in order to train and equip the newly recruited
officers/officials of FIA. Later on, its scope was enhanced and now
Police Officers, Army/Air Force Officers, NAB and member of other
agencies participate in different courses which are conducted in the
academy.
ROLE OF THE ACADEMY
- To make the FIA Officers/Officials proficient in the
laws borne in FIA Schedule.
- To update the knowledge base of the officers/officials
of FIA and other agencies.
- To impart specialized training in terms of White
Collar Crimes.
- To organize seminars/workshops and discussions.
TYPES OF TRAINING PROGRAMS
- Specialized training courses on Money Laundering, Terrorism,
Human Trafficking, Cyber Crimes, Immigration, Banking, Crime
Scene Evidence and Finger Prints, Forged Documents
and other related topics.
- Basic training courses are conducted for Assistant Directors/
Inspectors/ S.Is/ ASIs and Ministerial Staff.
RESOURCE BASE
- Faculty Members and Officers from different wings of
FIA deliver lectures including Law, Investigation, Forensics,
Agency Practical work, Immigration etc.
- Prominent/expert Public Personalities are invited to address
the trainees on various topics.
- Foreign Missions based in Islamabad also conduct courses in
FIA Academy in different fields of specialization.
